The Most common Questions

What is going on?

Starting about 15 years ago the availability of parts began to dramatically change, for many reason.   The cars were getting older, the Giulia chassis finally went out of production, Alfa was sold to Fiat and Fiat wanted to kill certain aspects of the ALFA culture knowing the things needed to change, many of the parts suppliers were doing no better than any other italian manufacturer and they also needed to change.  Businesses have a life span and they change or they disappear.  Forse era la fine della "Dolce Vita".  If Alfa was doing it all correctly they would have been doing better in the market place.  Compare a 60's Alfa to almost any other car and for most of us it is clear that even with the idiosyncrasies (we knew what was the better vehicle), they were very competitive with a Porsche, BMW, and any other comparable automobile.  What happened?

As we all know ALFA and Fiat were having their own  problems and in North America it was too expensive to the continue to sell a few 1000 cars a years, maintain the necessary infra structure to provide proper service.

There are a number of aftermarket companies and enthusiasts around the world that are making parts and accessories and through the internet the information is available.  In the long run supply and demand will be balanced with the value of the cars will determine what parts will be available in the market place.  Fiat or Alfa, to survive must to an excellent job with their new cars and cannot be focused directly on "vintage cars and parts".   In our opinion they could have been more helpful in the past in supporting the aftermarket rather than looking at us only as the competition.    The History and the automobiles of ALFA ROMEO is a valuable asset to ALFA.

What is Ricambi doing?  We are downsizing to become what the market will support.
We move our warehouse out of LA to a quiet rural setting.

We used to manufacture in house many parts that had become unavailable and our range of performance parts.  Our short lived unsuccessful "deal" with Edelbrock was very costly to us.  We are working on getting our production of parts back on line.  Most all of our suspension parts are available and we adding back additional parts on a regular basis and we plan on continuing on this plan.

Hopefully we will have to time to update this regularly.
